• Team Penske driver Scott McLaughlin takes pole in the Pennzoil Chevrolet with a new record four-lap pole speed of 234.220mph

• Team Chevy sweep the top 8 positions on the grid

• Five Team Chevy teams represented on the first 4 rows of the grid

• All 16 Team Chevy cars qualify for the race

• Will Power and Josef Newgarden take 2nd and 3rd on the grid to make it a Team Penske front row lock-out.

• Only the second time in Indy 500 history that the same team has swept the front row, with Team Penske repeating their feat of 1988

• 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Larson qualifies 5th on his Indy 500 debut driving for Arrow McLaren-Rick Hendrick Chevrolet
